Job Summary
Morgan State University is recruiting a Teaching Laboratory Technician to support academic laboratory operations, instructional preparation, equipment readiness, and student learning in a higher education environment.
Job Duties
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Laboratory Preparation: Prepare lab spaces, materials, equipment, and supplies for instructional use.
- Instructional Support: Support faculty and students during laboratory activities and demonstrations.
- Safety & Compliance: Help maintain safe laboratory practices and institutional procedures.
- Inventory & Equipment: Track supplies, maintain equipment, and report maintenance or procurement needs.
- Documentation: Maintain records related to laboratory use, materials, and support activities.
Experience
- Experience supporting teaching laboratories, academic programs, science departments, or technical instructional spaces is preferred.
- Ability to work with faculty, students, staff, equipment, and supplies in a detail-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational, communication, safety, and problem-solving skills.
